Nachdem man ein Programm \u00fcber die Paketverwaltung installiert hat, bekommt man automatisch Sicherheitsupdates und neuere Versionen eingespielt. Sicherheitsupdates kommen sofort, wenn sie verf\u00fcgbar sind. Neue Software-Versionen hingegen leider immer nur im Takt der Ubuntu Releases. Man wartet, wenn man sich das entsprechende Programm nicht manuell installieren will, ziemlich genau 6 Monate auf die n\u00e4chste Version. Das ist in der Regel kein Problem, nur bei Firefox und Thunderbird hat es mich manchmal gest\u00f6rt. <\/p>\n<p>Diesem Problem hat sich das <a href=\"http:\/\/sourceforge.net\/apps\/mediawiki\/ubuntuzilla\/index.php?title=Main_Page\">Ubuntuzilla-Projekt<\/a> angenommen. Sie betreiben ein Repository f\u00fcr Ubuntu, das stets die aktuellen stabilien Mozilla-Builds von Firefox, Thunderbird und Seamonkey enth\u00e4lt. Einmal dem aktuellen System hinzugef\u00fcgt, bekommt man so bequem \u00fcber die Paketverwaltung die neuesten Versionen eingespielt.<\/p>\n<p>Und so funktioniert es:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ubuntuzilla-Repo der sources.list hinzuf\u00fcgen<\/strong><\/p>\n<pre>\r\necho -e \"\\ndeb http:\/\/downloads.sourceforge.net\/project\/ubuntuzilla\/mozilla\/apt all main\" | sudo tee -a \/etc\/apt\/sources.list > \/dev\/null \r\n<\/pre>\n<p>\n<p><strong>Den Repository Key hinzuf\u00fcgen um Nachfragen des Paketmanagers zu vermeiden<\/strong><\/p>\n<pre>\r\nsudo apt-key adv --recv-keys --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com C1289A29\r\n<\/pre>\n<p>\n<p><strong>Danach die gew\u00fcnschten Pakete installieren<\/strong><\/p>\n<pre>\r\nsudo apt-get update\r\nsudo apt-get install firefox-mozilla-build\r\nsudo apt-get install thunderbird-mozilla-build\r\nsudo apt-get install seamonkey-mozilla-build\r\n<\/pre>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Das Paketsystem von Ubuntu ist schon etwas Feines.
